CharityDR

""  Following on from our 2009 appeal which raised £10,000 for the people at Tiny Lives our 2010 appeal has now come to an end.  Our final total for 2010 stands at £11,477 smashing our £10k target for the year.  We were visited by the Bubble Foundation Board on Tuesday 20th July and they were delighted with the final total and the work done in school to raise the profile of the charity.

The Bubble Foundation work to support the Children's Bone Marrow Unit at Newcastle General Hospital.  It is important for students and staff to note that the money received will be used to fund research to save the lives of children across the North East of England and beyond.

TV personality Denise Robertson was part of the visiting party and she was proud to say that "the money raised in this school will save the lives of babies across the country and beyond.  The school should be congratulated on its public spirit and the work that the students have done is testament to the potential that young people have and the difference they can make to their local community".
